Graduate Institute of Multimedia and Entertainment Science is the first in Taiwan centering on digital entertainment as its research focus. The students will not only receive professional academic trainings in researching and developing but be equipped expertise that meets future industry anticipations and demands. Our education goals are:1. To cultivate professionals in creating new-type game modes and in researching and technique developing. Further applications includethe developing of innovative games, educational games, and game products incorporated daily uses.
2. To look further into the essence of entertainment science, and foster researchers that master qualitative and quantitative methods in studying the interactions and correlations among games, human behaviors, psychology and society, so as to explore future directions for entertainment and games industries.
3. To cultivate within students a personality that embraces lifelong learning and awareness of social care.
Required Courses
Game Design
This course offers students a holistic education that focuses on the researching, designing, and developing of games. A variety of topics are included such as game story & character development, project management, game interface design, game levels design, sound effects, AI, player society, online games, mobile phone games, and history of game development, etc.
