Eligibility
- Applicants must adhere to the Ministry of Education (MOE) Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan.

Education Background:

For Bachelor's Degree Programs: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Obtain a diploma from one of the following:
- A Chinese-taught high school located outside Taiwan
- A foreign language high school
- A diploma equivalent to a high school diploma in the Republic of China (Taiwan)
- Have diplomas authenticated by either the overseas missions of the Republic of China or the Federation of Alumni Association of Taiwan Universities, Malaysia, and its local branches.
- Applicants who do not meet the above qualifications but satisfy the eligibility criteria outlined in the Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Level must submit a Certification of Study.
- Graduates from overseas 5-year high schools (including Hong Kong and Macau) who obtained a qualification equivalent to finishing the second year in senior high schools in Taiwan may apply for undergraduate programs at STUST. However, they are required to complete an additional 12 course credits during their bachelor's studies.
- Individuals with a degree or diploma from an institution of higher education in Hong Kong, Macau, or overseas should also adhere to the regulations stipulated in Article 9 of the Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Level to qualify for university admission.

For Master's Degree Programs:
Applicants must have graduated from one of the universities accredited by the MOE (listed in the Foreign Universities database) or from independent colleges.

Master's degree applicants must hold a university degree. -
Transfer Students:
Applicants must have completed at least two semesters of a bachelor's degree program at a public or officially registered private university in Taiwan and must upload their transcripts.
If only one semester is completed, applicants should apply as new students. If admitted, they may apply for credit transfer.Required transcript information by transfer level:
- 2nd year, 1st semester → must have completed 2+ semesters
- 2nd year, 2nd semester → must have completed 3+ semesters
- 3rd year, 1st semester → must have completed 4+ semesters
- 3rd year, 2nd semester → must have completed 5+ semesters
Additional documents required:
- Certificate of Study (Proof of withdrawal from previous university if studied in Taiwan). Students currently enrolled must provide a certificate of enrollment instead.
- According to MOE regulations, if students are currently enrolled in the International Foundation Program (IFP) at another university, they can only transfer to IFP departments at STUST.
